Architecture Australia Magazine
From 2023, individual members including students, and those resident outside Australia, will receive a complimentary print subscription to Architecture Australia (unless opted out) delivered to their registered postal address.
Six issues of Architecture Australia are published each year (Jan/Feb, Mar/Apr, May/Jun, Jul/Aug, Sep/Oct & Nov/Dec).

BEYOND UNI
The purpose of the program is to connect attendees to events, resources and opportunities to develop skills and knowledge to improve their employability and work readiness and to learn about and experience the profession in ways they may not have the opportunity to at university.

SONA members have access to the same content architects use to meet their professional obligations for continuing professional development.
All CPD courses can be accessed via the member portal.

SONA members have access to the Community Forum – an online discussions and resources platform with over 13,000+ members.

Bluescope Glenn Murcutt Student Prize
The prize is presented every second year and recognises outstanding architectural student work which demonstrates excellence in response to place, technology and Australian culture.

Superstudio
SuperStudio is a national conceptual design competition open to all SONA members from all year, participants are encouraged to focus on their ideas and thoughts and explore the infinite depths of their creativity.

de-PICT provides students with a platform to share their work and thinking on a national stage with the wider architectural community.
The zine will have a focus on representation in all its forms. Each zine edition will have its own unique theme and will showcase high-quality projects by students that will inspire and demonstrate what is achievable.
All SONA members are invited to submit work.

SONA representatives

SONA members have the opportunity to apply to be a SONA representative. This role provides the exclusive opportunity for outstanding and engaged students to share their knowledge and provide information relating to SONA, student membership and careers in the built environment with their peer networks. SONA representatives make a significant contribution to the student community whilst developing advanced personal, professional and leadership skills.
