Architect for a Day
The Australian Institute of Architects Queensland Chapter’s Architect for a Day program offers High school students (aged from 14–18 years) thinking about
studying architecture and design have an opportunity to learn more about the
profession at a special workshop.
Students participate in a workshop, and discover what
it’s like to study architecture, design, urban design, and associated subjects
such as sustainability.
Students enjoy:
- Speaking with current graduates, academics and practitioners about architecture, design, planning and sustainability pathways.
- Learning through making with dynamic and fun activities including model making and design sketching.
- Hearing from architects who will provide an insight about what it is like to be an architect day-to-day.
General disclaimer: Architect for a Day does NOT replace advise from your study counsellor or provide professional career advice. This program intends to inform young people considering a future in the architecture profession about what architects do. The advice is intended to help you make an informed decision when considering your study and career option.
