“Integration is really important to me in the kitchen design, so that the concept of the architecture is maintained,” says Fiona Dunin, architect of Coopworth on Bruny Island, Tasmania. In the kitchen of this inventive rural home, dishwashing, refrigeration and ventilation appliances are all seamlessly concealed behind simple plywood surfaces – a signature material that unifies the interior’s kitchen and living areas.
