Tasmania’s most popular architecture and design event, Open House Hobart, is back in 2024 for its twelfth program on the weekend of November 9 & 10, AND Sunday 3 November 2024.
The 2024 program and website will go live on the Open House Hobart website at 7 pm today, 7 October, to coincide with World Architecture Day. This year’s program will be run over 3 days, including a dedicated Day on the Domain on Sunday 3 November. With nearly 100 buildings, activities and walking tours around nipaluna/Hobart and beyond, the 2024 Open House Hobart program is stacking up to be the best yet.
While the event is free, and many buildings don’t require registration, bookings are required for some tours, events, and building. Check the details on the website. In true Tassie style, it’s first in, best dressed! Bookings open at 12 pm, Friday 11 October, and can be made at https://openhousehobart.org/hobart/.
Organised and run by the Tasmanian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, Open House Hobart is the local version of a global event first held in London in 1992 and now staged in more than 30 cities around the world. It gives visitors the chance to see how others live, work and play; look up, look inside, have a sticky-beak, and see the city from a different angle.
This event is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors and partners.
