The Australian Institute of Architects, in collaboration with 10 member associations across the built environment in the Northern Territory (NT), is hosting a high-profile political debate and discussion on the future direction of the Territory. The event will take place at the Darwin Convention Centre on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
This debate serves as a significant platform for discussing the NT’s development, featuring Hon. Chief Minister Eva Lawler MLA and Leader of the Opposition Lia Finocchiaro, MLA. During the debate, they will present their distinct visions and policies related to the built environment. The Institute encourages attendance, as it provides an opportunity for Territorians to actively shape the future of the NT.
Moderated by Ben Stockwin, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, the debate promises thought-provoking conversations that identify priorities within the NT’s built environment. Additionally, it aims to inform voters ahead of the impending 2024 NT Elections in August.
Tickets are $99 for peak body members, and $129 for members of the public which includes a two-course dinner and drinks at the Darwin Convention Centre. More information can be found on the event registration page.
Beyond the debate, the event offers a valuable networking opportunity for professionals in the built environment sector, bringing together peers from various disciplines to discuss common challenges and opportunities.
This event is proudly supported by the Institute’s National Corporate Partner, Bondor Metecno.
