2024 Central Queensland Regional Awards Commended Projects and Event Photos

The Queensland Chapter had their sixth 2024 Regional Awards event on Friday, 7 June 2024.

The Central Queensland Regional Architecture Awards were held at Headricks Lane in Rockhampton on Friday, 7 June. Entries included submissions into 11 different categories, a variety of entries throughout the Central Queensland region. A variety of projects were named award winners and commendations were given across the categories.

Award winners:

• Gin Gin State High School – New Administration Building by Giarola Architects, J. W. Wilson Award for Building of the Year
• Cocobrew Express Coffee Drive Thru by DESIGNANDARCHITECTURE, Regional Project of the Year
• Benevolent Living Interiors by Deicke Richards, Central Queensland People’s Choice Award

Commended projects in Central Queensland this year are:

• Gin Gin State High School – New Administration Building by Giarola Architects
• Maryborough Forge and Advanced Manufacturing Facility by KIRK 
• Cocobrew Express Coffee Drive Thru by DESIGNANDARCHITECTURE
• Benevolent Living Interiors by Deicke Richards

All commended projects in the series of regional awards progress to Queensland State Awards consideration. The shortlist is judged by the Queensland State Awards Jury.
