New South Wales
Maximising its secluded waterfront location in Drummoyne, the Isles is a unique collection of nine luxury apartments, including a whole-floor four-bedroom penthouse, each designed with large spaces akin to a stand-alone house. Materiality including bespoke brickwork and detailing reflects the craft of the local architecture.
The base of the building is connected directly to the harbour with gardens cascading down to the waterfront, whilst the middle provides protected elevated balconies looking across the water with full width living room and balcony connections. The upper level of the building accommodates a roof garden and penthouse with extensive views across the harbour and CBD skyline.
Interiors are designed as an extension of the harbour, melding beach and city life through a soft, tonal palette with finishes including limestone flooring, walnut veneer and blue-toned marble.
The Isles delivers a timeless, respectful addition to the Drummoyne waterfront. Due to its prestigious address, we knew we had to produce a development of the highest quality, one that balances softness and sophistication.
SJB were the perfect fit for this project. Their experience in residential design and deft dedication to enduring architecture ensured that the outcome created both a contemporary expression of place and community, as well as a stylish and comfortable home for residents. With no corners cut, the result is a design that exceeded expectations, and one that will surely stand the test of time.
