Sean and Christiana wanted sustainability to be a guiding priority in the choices made through the design and build of their beautiful, generous, luxury home. They want to use their story to inspire others.
The project, designed by ptma Architecture, crafted a beautiful modern home grounded in its surrounds. This connects S+C’s lives to the climate, to the creek below, their community, and the evolving native and edible gardens surrounding their home.
The design is energy efficient and carbon neutral. It includes a more resilient construction. It is designed to be able to become more efficient and sustainable over time. Flexible design allows creative adaption and re-use of the home over time.
The interiors are beautiful and sustainable through choice of; material and furniture, texture and colour. This enhances life in, and reduces the carbon footprint of the project.
Shifting ‘’business as usual’’ in a more sustainable direction in construction.
The reimagination of this site and design of our home with ptma Architecture has transformed our large Gold Coast block into a private and sustainable oasis.
This project encourages others to think about the environment before building or renovating. It showcases: native gardens. Water collection and management. Sustainable energy. Carefully selected materials. Surprising internal architectural elements have already helped many people rethink what it means to design and build a modern sustainable home.
It is a delight to wake up every day to live and work in this beautiful and sustainable home that is built to last for many generations.
