Hear about Breezeway House by David Boyle Architect, Basin Beach House by Peter Stutchbury Architecture and Waterloo House by Anthony Gill Architects as we look at exceptional houses from the NSW Architecture Awards 2020.
In this session we showcase the following outstanding winning projects:
- Award for Residential Architecture – Houses (New) | Basin Beach House by Peter Stutchbury Architecture. A curved copper shell stretching almost 25 metres from east to west creates a comforting cover for this private residence in an exposed location in Mona Vale on Sydney’s northern beaches. This house is a beautiful response to a harsh context and environment.
- Award for Interior Architecture and Award for Residential Architecture – Houses (New) | Breezeway House by David Boyle Architect. This is a holiday house that is light-hearted and fun; where detail, material and spatial experiences will surely invoke many fond memories in the years to come.
- Award for Residential Architecture – Houses (Alterations and Additions) | Waterloo House by Anthony Gill Architects. Materially rich and crafted alterations and additions make each room not only functionally satisfying but joyful moments simply just to be in.
