Capricorn Coast National Park with Bluff Point, Turtle Lookout, Double Head and Fan Rock Lookout all located within a 30 minute drive from Yeppoon, it is worth a short drive to chance seeing Turtles laying.
Mount Morgan is located 38km South West of Rockhampton and is a picturesque mining town rich in history. Considered one of the most successful gold, silver and copper mines in Australia for a period of time, it is worth a visit.
The Capricorn Caves are an ancient underground limestone cave system and are located 23 km north of Rockhampton. The Cathedral Caves are accessible by most with wheelchair access available.
Nurim Circuit Elevated Boardwalk Mount Archer has views over Rockhampton city and the Fitzroy river. A spectacular 500 meter boardwalk, it is an easy stroll.
Byfield National Park, only a 25 min drive of Yeppoon has wonders of clear streams surrounded by rainforest. If you have a little more time, many walks are located throughout the national parl.
