Dear Queensland Chapter Members,

As we look to the future of our Chapter, now is the perfect time for each of us to reflect on the role we play in shaping its direction. Our election process is an opportunity for everyone to contribute—whether by nominating, voting, or supporting a fellow member. It’s through your involvement that we bring together the diverse perspectives and expertise within our community to shape policies and initiatives that truly represent our shared values and vision.

Our Chapter Council roles hold a unique opportunity to drive change and represent Queensland’s voice within the Institute. With your input and leadership, we can tackle the real challenges and embrace the aspirations of all our members in 2024 and beyond.

If you’re eligible (Member, Fellow, Life Fellow, Associate, or Graduate), I encourage you to consider stepping up. Nominations close on Monday, 25 November 2024, at 4:00 pm AEDT, so please aim to submit your nomination a few days early to ensure everything is in order. This is your chance to make your mark and help guide the future of our profession in Queensland.

For those not planning to nominate, your vote is just as crucial! Every voice matters, and when voting opens, I hope you’ll take a few moments to participate.

Additionally, we’ll soon announce EOIs for our various committees, offering other ways to get involved in 2025. If you’re interested in contributing your insights and energy, please consider joining a committee as well.

Let’s continue to build a Chapter that leads with purpose and represents all of us. If you have any questions or need support, please don’t hesitate to reach out at election@architecture.com.au and visit our nominations page for more information.

Very best,
Anna Svensdotter
